It was a historic day of action at the Donington Park circuit for round eight of the 2019 MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship. However, more is set to come tomorrow, so be sure not to miss any of the action. Get all the statistics and trivia from our ultimate Sunday Stats Pack, where you can find out how many times British riders have locked-out the podium, as well as how well Leon Haslam and Jonathan Rea have been as Donington Park in recent years!

  1. Jonathan Rea recorded his 76th win in Race 1, taking back the championship lead. It’s the first time this year he leads the standings, and the 101st overall, already an all-time record.
  2. Rea recorded his 151st WorldSBK podium: his next one will be the 110th for the Kawasaki team.
  3. Rea scored points for the 31st race in a row: he is enjoying his best point-scoring streak in WorldSBK.
  4. Haslam completed the 49th all-British podium in WorldSBK history, the first since Losail, Race 1 last year and the sixth at Donington Park.
  5. In Race 1, Tom Sykes recorded his 110th career podium and now is one above Carl Fogarty, and six shy of the third all-time spot held by Haga.
  6. Sykes will start his 280th WorldSBK Race on Sunday, in the Tissot Superpole Race.
  7. Loris Baz occupied a podium position briefly in the opening laps: he is looking for his first podium since he was second in Race 1 at Losail, back in 2014.
  8. Replacement rider Peter Hickman completed a British top four in Tissot Superpole, that had been seen for the last time at this same track two years ago (Sykes, Rea, Davies, Lowes).
  9. In Race 1, Mercado equalled his best WorldSBK result with sixth, scored previously at Losail in 2015 Race 2, and Magny Cours 2017 in Race 1.
  10.  Alessandro Delbianco recorded his best race result, finishing 9th in Race 1.
